In some instances, I may recommend printing and direct mailing custom marketing postcards in lieu of, or as a supplement to pay per click advertising.
Due to the rising cost of printing brochures, small businesses are opting to reduce their printing and distribution costs by going with oversized, custom marketing postcards, used as direct mail postcards rather than printing full brochures.
These business postcards give an overview of your services, get a message, or offering out to your potential clients, and drive clients to your website for more detailed information, or bring them to your storefront.
Full color postcards can be handed to clients, mailed in an envelope with other information, or used as stand-alone direct mail postcards.
So they are flexible, affordable, and when used in combination with a website can replace larger print pieces for your company.
Size Matters in Postcard Marketing
Printed postcards come in many standard sizes (4" x 6", 5" x 7", 6" x 9", 6" x 11", 9" x 12" to name a few), or Denver postcard designer Jon Camrud can also create customized postcard sizes for you.
The most effective cards are full color, oversized postcards, which have far more impact than the smaller ones (exponentially better results).
Postage varies by size, so don’t assume that all postcards can be mailed for ‘postcard’ rates’. Once you go above 4.25" x 6", you will be paying first class letter postage. The good news is, once you cross that barrier you can go all the way to 6" x 11" postcards without incurring additional postage fees.
Again, you should consider internet advertising as an effective alternative to a postcard campaign. It is generally more cost effective than the traditional printing and mailing.
I design postcards for all industries and needs, including ‘save the date postcards’, photo postcards, personalized postcards, realtor postcards, and any other use you can think of!
I offer design and printing services for your postcard campaign. I recommend Colorado Data Mail for your mailing service. You may contact them directly and tell them you are working with me, and I will take it from there.
I also offer advice on mailing out cards vs alternatives. This includes the number to print, how often to send them, and the timing pattern of your mailings. You should never print and send just once. It is important to send to the same places multiple times for a good return on your investment.
Not Sure If Postcards Are Right for Your Goals?
I will advise you if postcards are right for your goals; or if online advertising would be result in higher returns. For many businesses it is more effective and/or flexible to use Google Ads instead.
