It is confusing, but when I say I do “mobile website design”, I am referring to designing a website that works on mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads, and most other smart phones and tablets currently on the market.
It does not mean that I am sitting in a bar somewhere designing your website!
Why is it important to have a mobile website design?
We want to make it as easy as possible for your clients to read and understand your website, no matter where or when they happen to be looking at it. I don’t know about you, but I get very frustrated trying to read teeny tiny type on a website that is not designed to adapt to my iPhone.
It is often difficult to zoom in wen you are using a mobile phone because of where you are or what you are doing. Then, once you zoom in, you have to start not only scrolling top to bottom, but also left to right. Maybe your thumbs or fingers are hitting links accidentally as you scroll and are taking you off the page?
You get the idea. P.I.T.A., right?
More and more websites are smart-phone ready, and people are now clued into the fact that they can just skip to the next Google result and look for a friendlier website. They will probably get one on the very next result!
If your clients need to “zoom in” on your page in order to read it, please contact Colorado website designer Jon Camrud to either have a mobile friendly website made.
