I can show your ads on a local newspaper or website, if they have an arrangement with Google or Microsoft to show ads.
Your ads can be set to show on national websites as well; and set to only show ads to local users of those sites.
For example, I can tell Google to show your ads on the ESPN or Wall Street Journal websites, but only to users within a defined radius around your location.
Who Sees My Ads?
The Google Ad system is very flexible on how we assign who sees your ads.
We can specify one of the following or any combination:
- City names
- County names
- Congressional districts
- Radius’ around locations
I can target adjacent locations, or skip local locations that don’t match your target demographics. As an example, I show my own ads in a 12 mile radius from my location in Denver.
Also, a nice feature is that we can limit who sees your ads within an area. For example, we could say you want Denver County and Broomfield County, but exclude Adams County.
Your ads will be seen by smartphone users, tablet users, or PC users – as you see fit.
How Does This Work?
It’s easy to get started, you just need a website, which I can develop for you if you don’t have one yet, or need an update to your site.
I will handle everything in consultation with you.
Together we will determine if “search advertising” or “display advertising” is best for your goals.
You will have initial setup charges, and monthly click charges and management fees.
You can choose how much you wish to pay, expressed as a daily amount.
For click charges, you can pay by the click, or by the impression of your ad (how many times it shows).
My preferred method is pay-per-click advertising, where the business owner bids on how much they wish to pay for a lead, and only pays when someone clicks their ad.
We select keyword phrases that are applicable to your business. When those keywords are typed into Google, or other search engines, it triggers your text ads, that are clickable to get to your website, but only if those words are part of the search. I can even assign the ads to only show if the words are typed in exact order!
For display advertising I create image ads and set your ads to display locally on websites and/or mobile apps.
Once the account is running, you pay for clicks and management, and you may choose to budget for expansion and optimization over time, for best results.
