Camrud Advertising is a Denver PPC agency helping clients achieve success with quick and cost effective pay-per-click advertising to reach local, state and national customers on the internet.
Pay Per Click advertising, or PPC Advertising for short, is a form of advertising where the advertiser pays only when their ad is clicked. Each time a user clicks on an ad the advertiser is charged a fee. This is essentially a fair method of paying for hot leads.
PPC ads are available on several platforms, including Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
The leads are considered “hot” because the people who click on your ad were searching for the product or service.
A great aspect of PPC ads is the statistics that allow me to measure effectiveness of your ads. I can make adjustments at any point to your ad campaigns – that just isn’t possible with traditional advertising.
What a Good PPC Agency Will Do For Your Business
PPC agencies allow you to spend less on customer acquisition. And we can get started in just a fraction of the time that it takes to get your site on page one through SEO. Once your account is set up, it can take as little as a few hours to get you in front of your audience.
Google estimates that each dollar spent on PPC marketing yields, on average, a return on investment of 2x your spend (source). PPC advertising is among the most cost effective direct marketing, because the user is searching for what you are offering.
PPC for Small Business?
Hiring a PPC agency is great for you to be able to compete with large corporations because you pay the same amount for ads, and can therefore be seen in the same space. They can obviously do more of the advertising, because of deeper pockets, but you’ll get there!
PPC ads are ideal for small business, with these primary benefits:
- no long term commitments
- effective with small budgets
- extremely targeted to searches that make you money, and
- they can be paused or accelerated depending on your needs
As an experienced PPC consultant I create campaigns to maximize goals:
- Building Brand Awareness
- Driving Online Sales
- Launching a Product or Service
- Increasing Store Traffic
PPC Advertising Opportunities
For companies in Denver, PPC opportunities are primarily with Google and Microsoft, and can be shown on:
- tablets, or
- desktop computers
If all of this is new to you, don’t worry it’s a new frontier for most everyone that is not in the digital marketing business.

Pay Per Click Agency Q&A
You are more than welcome to call Jon at 720-520-0639 for your specific questions.
What does PPC advertising cost?
The first thing to realize about the cost of PPC is that it is an investment more than a cost. Even more so than traditional advertising because we have much more control.
You will have four primary investment areas:
- Strategic Planning
- Initial setup
- Monthly management
- Click fees
I will perform an analysis of cost-to-profit to make sure your campaigns are profitable.
You will be provided with a free estimate after a brief discussion. The amount will be based on the size of your campaign.
You may also have the addition of more pages to your website that will address specific phrases that people have searched (called landing pages), so the quality of your website landing pages (the pages that we send customers to after they click on your ads) are optimized.
Because there a limited amount of prominent positions on search engines and most websites that show ads, advertising opportunities are bid-oriented. The more you bid for clicks, the better chance you will have to be seen. In theory, the top bidder gets the top position.
In practice this is rarely the case because Google and Microsoft prefer to show the highest quality ads. Formulas determine the quality of ads, and higher quality ads can gain position on higher bids. Part of my job is to make sure your ads and pages are high quality.
Google has more competitive bidding than Microsoft because of the higher volume of users on Google.
An initial investment is in setting up your campaign (and creating a website if you don’t have one) which can be in the neighborhood of $800 for a small campaign, and up to several thousand dollars as campaign sizes increase.
For ongoing investment you will have management fees, and click fees. I suggest looking at a minimum investment of $800 a month.
Please realize that when we set up your campaign(s), the goal is to make more than you spend, called Return on Investment, so in reality, it costs you zero!
A good rule of thumb is to spend 10-20% of what you hope to make. So, if you want to make $200,000, spend $20,000+ on advertising. Total marketing budgets vary widely by industry, but some are over 50%!
Do You Manage PPC Campaigns?
I offer affordable PPC management services, as monthly amount based on the size of your account.
PPC management is offered for either:
- a flat monthly fee
- a percentage of your ad spend
- or, hourly rate
How Much Does a Click Cost?
First, you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. Click costs vary by industry, competition, and location, and can vary from a dollar to over $100. We set your price for clicks, based on what will be profitable for you.
Many factors go into the cost, from the size of your campaign to the geographic area you are covering to the competition. Denver clicks may cost more than in suburbs and smaller towns. Digital ads shown nationwide may cost more, similar to national television ads cost more than local ads.
I find the most affordable and effective advertising and you decide how much you want to spend each month, and can change at any time. Each phrase that we include in your campaign will have it’s own bid amount, based on what that bid is worth to your business.
This makes it perfect for Small Business Advertising.
Where Will My Ads Appear?
You have most likely seen the familiar text-ad arrays (example shown next to this paragraph) on the major search engines and on pages across the internet.
Those digital ads are shown to customers when the keywords we selected to advertise your business match a user’s search, or for “Display Network Advertising”, the content on the website hosting your ad.
For Search Ads, they appear alongside or above search results on search engine pages, in sections marked “Sponsored links”.
For Display Ads, they appear on websites that allow Google to show ads. Your ads can appear on a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. Together we decide which sites or apps, and devices, are best for your business.
How Can I Tell if PPC Advertising is Successful?
I track statistics to determine effectiveness.
It helps to start your campaign with one clear goal in mind. Examples might be
- to increase traffic to your site
- selling a set percentage more, or
- lowering your cost per lead
- Or reaching a sales goal each month
Then, I track your results with tools like the Google Ads interface, and Google Analytics. These are tools that show you what visitors came to your site, and even what they do on your site, and which ads are doing the best job of meeting your goals.
We can see
- How many times each phrase in your campaign triggers ads to be shown
- What position your ad is shown
- How many times people clicked your ad
- How many people took an action, like phoning or filling out a form
- How much each click is costing
- How much each call is costing
- What geographic area customers are in
- And many more.
The number of statistics rival those of baseball!
Which is the Best Platform?
I’m partial to Google advertising for most businesses. It has several great things going for it, including the largest and most targeted audiences. Read more about Best Place to Advertise Your Business.

Hidden Benefit of PPC Advertising
Most businesses can readily latch onto the primary benefits a PPC campaign can bring them, in terms of targeting their customers and driving traffic directly to the best page on their website.
If you are like most business owners, you focus on clicks. But even when your ads are not clicked, your ads and name are still seen.
So for industries that are highly searched with the public and have daily, weekly or monthly repeat customers, such as restaurants, you can really get name recognition firmly entrenched with potential customers.
This incredible opportunity to build name recognition is a built-in benefit of pay per click programs. They are “auction-based”, which means your bids are one of the main influencers of the position your ad shows on the page. To get clicks and visits to your site, you obviously want to be at or near the top with a high bid.
But, if you bid lower, you can still be seen in the same view as the top ads. Ads showing lower from top to bottom on search results pages usually get less clicks. However, they spend less money on bids, and if not clicked, are not charged anything.
Why is This So Important?
Customers, whether they are consumers or potential business alliance partners, unconsciously tend to select businesses that they feel a familiarity towards. When a customer hears or sees your business name over and over they are much more likely to choose you when they are ready to make their decisions. Your pay per click program can achieve this, without costing you a cent.
It should be noted that defining your goal to your PPC agency is important because if your goal is not specifically to get name, or brand recognition, then having too many ads show that are not clicked does send a signal to the pay per click programs that your ads are not relevant to the public and therefore your quality score will drop for those phrases. If your goal is brand recognition we can set your account up to better achieve this.
I look forward to hearing from you at 720-520-0639 to help you reach your goals.
“Our PPC campaign is the most sophisticated and advanced of any of our competitors. Further, stray clicks is the nemesis to any PPC budget. Jon’s attention to targeted and specific PPC controls wasted budget.”
