It is human nature to compare things. Clients who come to me asking for my SEO services, realize that I do a much more thorough job with SEO than most firms. Some ask me “Who is the best SEO in Denver?”
There are many variables in SEO projects as to subjects, and budgets, and timeframes if trying to compare historic results of the work of SEOs, so that is difficult at best. I have never run into someone who does as thorough job as I do, or comes up with key phrases as targeted for the client, or is as creative in the methods as I am, so I’m officially throwing my hat into the ring if anyone starts a competition to find the best SEO in Denver. [SEO in this case means Search Engine Optimizer, as opposed to the alternative Search Engine Optimization. One being a person, the other an act or action taken.]
Why would you need to know who is the Best SEO in Denver? Well, I suppose you don’t need to know the absolute best, but people do search that phrase when looking for a company that will give them the best results with internet marketing for their websites.
SEO is Search Engine Optimization
Optimization is what you do TO a website to make the site ‘ready’ and ‘able’ for the search engine spyders to find out your intent as to what the site is to be ranked for when a search is performed. SEO is not doing things in other places and referencing the website. That is SEM (search engine marketing).
Many, if not most, web developers who have taken on the task of “SEOing” web sites don’t even know what they are talking about from the minute they open their mouths. I’ve heard so many Denver SEO companies call search engine marketing activities, from link building to social media work, SEO. They don’t even have enough attention to detail to realize SEO is “optimization” of the website itself.
One new client who hired me for PPC management told me he had someone doing the SEO. When I asked to see the plan, to see where we needed to fill in the marketing gaps with advertising, the client said he didn’t have one. When he asked his “SEO expert” for his plan, he got no response. When I asked about keyword research, my client asked his SEO for it. Again, no response. Turns out they not only didn’t optimize the site, they didn’t even do a plan. They were not an SEO firm, they were out doing off-site marketing.
In fact, this has happened with my last two clients. Is it happening to you?
Most so called SEO companies are really just ordinary web developers who don’t have much of a real interest in optimization and tend to do it as quick as possible, with as much automation as possible, just to say they have done some SEO on the client’s site, and to keep their bid costs down. This is a huge disservice to the client.
So, back to the question of who is the best SEO in Denver.
The Best Innovate
If you follow the pack, you will get the same results as the pack. I’ve been quite innovative in my methodology and creativity in my optimization activities and have been rewarded with good results for myself and my clients. I do things different than most because I have theorized well beyond the teachings that I have received, and I do things based on not only on logic but also using intuition.
Everything from keyword research, through creating a SEO plan, to implementing a Denver SEO plan on a site, and writing SEO content for the site pages can not only be done the right way or the wrong way – it can be done the better way. But I’m not writing about the wrong way versus the right way to do SEO, I’m comparing the right way versus the best way to do SEO.
I find that when I do SEO trainings it doesn’t so much matter the level of the intelligence, the level of the interest, or the background of the person – although these are important. When I train them I see that they either have a knack for SEO or they don’t. Some of the steps can be taught, and mimicked, but as soon as a variable comes up, the fakers are exposed.
I do think that the more creative and organized the person is, the better chance they have to do it well.
Have you ever noticed that packaging of things like soft drinks and spaghetti sauce, and even that large container of salt you get at the grocery are the same sizes and shapes across brands? I don’t mean similar, I mean the same. Well, that is what Denver SEO companies do with their automation of optimization. Most do it the same and get the same results. This makes it a contest of who can do the most, with the cheapest methods they can get away with; but that is not the core of SEO.
The core of SEO is linguistics, as my new associated pointed out in an “ah-ha” moment, when I was giving him the basics of what I do. It’s about finding words and identifying intent. It’s about organizing thoughts and words. It’s about writing not only well, but with underlying planning principles. And it’s about balancing 10 different things with each page of the site, interrelating it, and tracking it all over time.
I have the natural skills and background for SEO work, all of which serve me well in optimizing websites:
- an eye for detail
- a creative mind
- a background in writing well, having taken college level composition courses in high school
- a background in organizational planning and structure from my days in architecture
- professional experience in marketing, and advertising
- experience in web site development
- experience with people, running my own business for 18+ years
- a keen interest in SEO (I love it)
So who is the best SEO in Denver? I don’t know, but I do think that if you don’t believe you are at least among the best, I don’t think you can be the best.
I’m not trying to be the cheapest, I’m striving to be the best!
